Pregnancy Prevention: Conscious Awareness & Redirection of Ejaculation (The CARE Method)

*A note about pronouns. This article uses ‘they/their’ as singular gender-neutral pronouns as the author makes no assumptions about the gender of lingam- and yoni-bodied beings.

So it has occurred to me that I should share something that has substantially upgraded my life--like serious next level shit here.

Ready?

Here it is:

I don't use 'conventional' forms birth control and have copious amounts of toe-curling, body-shaking, transdimensional sex *without* flipping the self-replication switch inherent to us as manifestations of The Fractal of All-being.

After years of oral contraceptive use, 4 Paragard IUDs (which all ended in my body rejecting them), and a 9-month stint with the Mirena, a levonorgestrel-based hormonal IUD, that fucked up my body (hair loss, muscle loss, weak-feeling skin, lack of pleasure from orgasm, and eventually depression), I’ve come up with a better method of birth control.

With the help of my loving partner, I’ve fine-tuned and expanded upon what is essentially the 'withdrawal method' with some more specific protocol, which I will elucidate and term here. I call this method Conscious Awareness & Redirection of Ejaculation (a.k.a “The CARE Method” as this describes how the partner of a CARE Method practitioner feels—cared for). When practicing The CARE Method, the male-bodied being has to have urinated and washed their penis with a  natural unscented soap and water before they last ejaculated and before being inside a vagina or touching a vulva. This serves two purposes: The urine flushes the sperm out of the urethra and kills sperm since it is acidic (pre-ejeculatory fluid does not contain sperm unless it was left over in the urethra from a previous ejaculation). Soap is spermicidal as well. So this method is very effective when done properly.

Hot baths, steam rooms, or saunas are incorporated into this method as they decrease sperm production in the testicles.

Fantastic & FUNctional Foreskins
First and foremost, foreskins are fantastic. For those of you who might be wondering, yes, sexual union with lingum-bodied beings with intact foreskins feels quite different. There is less friction, which means little-to-no chafing with long-duration unions, and better anal sex. So the moral argument regarding inflicting somatic, sexual trauma on infants aside, the functionality of foreskins is reason enough for maintaining their existence. So if you are male-bodied and lucky enough to have an intact foreskin, you might want to consider trying a modification of the CARE Method. This method, known as “bagging it” or “the clean sheets method,” utilizes the foreskin to catch the ejaculatory fluid during orgasm. This is done when the lingam-bodied partner feels their ejaculative orgasm nearing. They  withdrawal their lingam from their partner's yoni and grasp their foreskin, pulling it over the head of the lingam and pressing it closed to create a sealed chamber to be filled with ejaculate. Over time, as one becomes more practiced at this technique and the foreskin becomes slightly longer and more supple from pulling on it in this fashion, this little trick becomes easier and easier to perform. I also hypothesize that over time performing this method will also gradually increase the size of the lingam as each time the foreskin is stretched the lingam then has more space to fill with blood during arousal (as this appears to be what might be the case with my partner).

Anal and oral sex are also ideal times for ejaculation to be experienced. If you are new to the idea of anal pleasure, check out How to Enjoy Anal Sex to get started enjoying butt-sex. ;)

It is also a great idea to keep track of menstrual cycles. Not only does this help elucidate your own unique pattern and develop a better relationship with your corporal form, it will help you get a feel for when you are ovulating and potentially most fertile. Glow Ovulation Period Tracker is a fantastic app made just for this. Glow also a great communication aid to use with an intimate partner(s) as your partner(s) can also have the app and the information recorded with be synced so that you both(all) know where the female-bodied partner is at in their cycle.

Kratom

Kratom, more specifically known as Mitragyna speciosa, is a wonderful plant medicine, teacher, and euphoriant. Kratom has a long history of extensive use in Thailand to increase work output and tolerance of direct sunlight.

Uses:
  • Kratom is an effective painkiller
    • Kratom is better for your health than NSAIDS like acetaminophen or ibuprofen
  • Kratom is a more conscious & mindful recreational euphoriant
    • The state of being facilitated by kratom is much more clear & lucid than that which often results after the ingestion of alcohol or cannabis. The kratom-facilitated state of being allows for thoughts to freely be experienced and awareness of one’s surroundings to be maintained and often noticeably enhanced (especially slightly crisper vision and pleasantly altered tactile sensation).
    • Kratom does not result in a hangover the next day.

As for the pharmacology, kratom behaves as a mu-opioid receptor agonist. Two alkaloids have been identified that show binding affinity for opioid receptors: mitragynine (MG) and 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH-MG). The pain-relieving effects of kratom cannot be explained by just the MG alkaloid (less potent than morphine). The 7-OH-MG alkaloid (small amount present in kratom) produces the strongest pain-relieving effect (maybe 10x stronger than morphine) (Kratom and Other Mitragynines, Raffa, 2014). MG and 7-OH-MG are novel opiates because do not chemically resemble conventional opiates like codeine and morphine. MG is actually chemically somewhat similar to yohimbine and psilocybin (Plants of the Gods, 2001).

Mitragynine is soluble in alcohol, chloroform, & acetic acid.

The MG content of  Kratom grown in different regions/environments can vary significantly. Kratom in grown in Thailand reported a higher MG content than kratom grown in Malaysia.

    Kratom tea recipe:

The powdered leaves are first best mixed into an acidic solution to bring out the psychoactive constituents and the resulting desired effects.

    1 tsp. powered kratom leaf
2 tsp. raw apple cider vinegar (ACV)
2 cups hot water (or more for palatable taste)

Combine powdered kratom with ACV in a glass cup or jar, stir or shake, and let sit for 15 min or longer (12-24 hours seems to be ideal). (Vinegar contains acetic acid, which the active constituents are soluble in, and therefore an optimal kratom tea always begins with this step). Add enough hot water so that the solution is pleasantly drinkable and let sit until the solution is of good drinking temperature. Enjoy.

I have found Moon Kratom to be the best source for high quality kratom for the best price. You guys are doing good work! Keep being awesome! <3
